Idea Lounge In February! Marianne Hirsch and Candice Koseba discuss Art Therapy, Beekeeping and more

Wednesday, February 26, 7-8 PM (Doors open at 6:30)

$15/members; $20 non-members

What is the Idea Lounge?

The Idea Lounge pairs two speakers who may have never met. One speaker is from the arts and the other is not. For twenty minutes each, the speakers present an aspect of their lives which may include how they chose their professions, how people or circumstances inspired them, or decisions they made that changed their lives. The audience has equal time to uncover the commonalities between two seemingly disparate topics and career paths.

Marianne Hirsch is a Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT) specializing in Play and Art Therapies. Her focus is on adoption and early childhood issues. She believes children do best and heal more quickly in a fun, respectful, and playful environment. Marianne uses the arts to enhance the therapeutic bond in families.

Candice Koseba is a beekeeper and herbalist in Sonoma County and the founder of Sonoma County Bee Company, which is guided by the wisdom of the hive and the seasonal flow of nature. With a background in beekeeping from SRJC under Serge Lebesque and herbal studies at the California School of Herbal Studies, Candice combines her passions to create hive-inspired products and educate the public about pollinator stewardship. From managing apiaries to crafting natural skincare and herbal apothecary items, her work is rooted in preserving honeybee colonies and celebrating their role in the natural world.
