Why give to Petaluma Arts Center?
The people of Petaluma have helped our arts center become the community gem it is today. Funded primarily by donations, memberships, and business sponsorships, the Center is a reflection of this community’s creativity and passionate commitment to service.
500+ members and over 30 volunteers support our two part-time staff to accomplish PAC’s operations and strategic goals.
Your generous gift not only supports operating expenses, it helps fund exhibitions, educational programs and events that benefit the entire community.

When we raise funds, it’s the people behind the money—and their devotion to our community—that make the difference.
Where do we go from here?
Over the past sixteen years, we at PAC have learned a LOT about how to survive as a community arts center. In 2024, we surveyed our stakeholders, held community meetings, and created a Development Committee to craft a plan to thrive in 2025 and beyond.
The result is our new “Create Our Future” fundraising campaign, launching in January 2025. It will be rolled out in stages with clear benchmarks. Transparency is one of our treasured values, and we are happy to share our cost breakdown, programming plans, and future steps.
Benchmark #1:
$300k in 1 year
The goals of the campaign are based on a careful analysis of metrics reflecting the needs of PAC both past, present and future.
Benchmark #1 will support
Hiring an Executive Director to manage all aspects of PAC including: Operations, Publicity, and Annual Fundraising
Hiring staff to increase communication to stakeholders
Growing creative programming
Increasing center visiting hours to increase benefit and accessibility for people the community
Stay tuned as we prepare to start our 2025 “Create Our Future” campaign!

Planned Giving
If you are passionate about community arts, you might consider including us in your estate plans. We would be honored and most grateful to be part of your life’s legacy. You may also explore with your tax specialist and attorney the donation of securities to PAC.
Another way to make an impactful and lasting contribution to the arts is by donating stock, bonds, or mutual fund shares. Besides being tax deductible, they’re exempt from capital gains tax on the appreciation. Also, you may know that an IRA Charitable Rollover is a tax-free contribution (up to $100,000) for those over 70-1/2. Either of these options can be done easily with the help of your broker or advisor.
