The Figure As Story includes abstract and representational works in all media except video. This is a juried show and is offered to Bay Area artists in nine counties: Alameda, Contra Costa, Marin, Napa, San Francisco, San Mateo, Santa Clara, Solano, and Sonoma. Upon acceptance, each artist will include a paragraph (100 words or less) that identifies the story within the image.

Related Community Event: An afternoon workshop of mixing the visual arts with writing. Participants will choose a piece of art and spend 20 minutes writing a story about it and then share with others. Date: TBD.
