What is the Idea Lounge?
Established in 2016, the Idea Lounge is an exciting series of talks with a twist! Two speakers: one from the arts, one not. The audience uncovers what they have in common, revealing connections between art & life. The Idea Lounge is part of PAC Out of the Box, a series featuring collaborative activities that take place literally and figuratively outside the walls of the Arts Center and outside the typical art exhibition. Now in its 5th season, the Idea Lounge has featured speakers of all paths of life, presenting on a variety of topics including:
ART: “The Art of Mapmaking,” “Metalwork,” “The Art and Nature of Floral Design,” “Confessions of a Museum Director,” “What Makes a Great Film Great,” and more.
LIFE: “Retirement 2.0,” “The Science of Opening a New Restaurant,” “Why People Give,” “The Passion of Rollerdancing,” “The Art of Storytelling Through Self and Others” and more.
The Idea Lounge is curated by Petaluma Arts Center longtime supporter and board member, Carin Jacobs. Interested in speaking at a future event? Contact Carin at firstname.lastname@example.org
