Summer Arts Camp


Petaluma Arts Center’s summer arts camps include ceramics, drawing and painting, sculpture, sidewalk art, illustration, felting, doll making, cartooning, and more. Experienced instructors provide a supportive learning environment for budding artists and artisans ages 5-17. The summer concludes with a special “pop-up art show” for family and friends August 10th at 5pm. Sign up for one session or several.

  • All campers must bring completed PAC Emergency Form and Photography Consent form. Please bring these forms to the first day of camp. Forms must be filled out by a parent or adult guardian.
Sewing a Felt Magical Horse

Monday, June 24 – Thursday, June 27
Time: 9:30am  – 12pm
Ages: 10+
Tuition: $150 general, $130 PAC members
Materials fee: Included in tuition
Instructor: Meret Piderman

Sew a horse, magical unicorn or pegasus.
Bring your imagination to design and sew your own fantasy horse made from felt.
Pattern and all supplies will be provided. Basic sewing stitches will be taught.
At this camp you will make one horse approximately 12” high. If time permits you can make one or two foals too!

No prior sewing experience needed.

About the Instructor:

Meret Piderman has been teaching for over 20 years. Her experience spans teaching in international schools in Italy and private and public schools in New York and California. Presently, she is the handwork teacher at Greenwood School in Mill Valley. She holds a BFA from the Fashion Institute of Tech in NYC. For more information and Meretli on Instagram.
