Artist Statement

I am inspired by nature, science, the sky, and happy moments of being alive.  I like reading about astronomy, geysers, and science.  In recent years I have focused on painting birds.  I like painting the intricacies of patterns, and how the birds might reflect themselves or be with family.  I draw with color and shapes from my imagination.  It makes me feel calm to paint and create art.  I choose to make art because it is peaceful, loving and magical.  YES!  (Arms raised to the sky with enthusiasm!)
