Jennifer Hunt - Flute Eric Moore - Cello
Recent and experimental works for Flute and Cello by Iranian composers, presented in an intimate setting. Jenny and Eric will preface each work with a short introduction to the composer and the composer’s style to help listeners with fantastic music that is unlike any they’ve heard before.

New Music Decanted
is a new nonprofit concert series with a core ensemble based in the North Bay that performs throughout the Bay Area. Collaborators from across the country come together to play cutting-edge new “classical” music, usually by living composers. Prefacing the concerts, the New Music Decanted podcast will give concertgoers a glimpse into the composers’ minds, the performers’ process, and the qualities that makes the music remarkable. Flutist Jennifer Hunt
pursues a versatile musical life as a passionate performer and educator. She has played flute and piccolo with the Russian National Orchestra, Hartford Opera Theater, Montana Lyric Opera, Oakland Symphony, and Symphony Napa Valley and has been featured on National Public Radio.

Jennifer is adjunct faculty at Pacific Union College and Napa Valley College and an artist partner at Willow Elementary School. She also travels around the country as a trainer for Leonard Bernstein’s Artful Learning education model, and she was recently featured in the documentary How Did You Learn Today? | The Artful Learning Case Study Film. While she is primarily classically trained, Jennifer enjoys playing jazz, bluegrass, Irish, Peruvian and American folk music. www.JenniferHuntFlute.com
Cellist Eric Moore
won his first orchestral audition at the age of 15. He graduated from the University of Michigan, summa cum laude
, as a triple major: BM Cello Performance, BM Music Theory, BM Music History. He has performed with more than a dozen orchestras and at age 23 became principal cellist of La Jolla Symphony and Chorus. He is the Executive Director of New Music Decanted and specializes in performing and premiering new “classical” music by leading composers.
Eric is, himself, an active composer and was recently the recipient of an Arts Council Napa Valley’s grant to compose and premiere a new 30-minute work, Soliloquy | Elegy
for Five Cellos, in Spring 2020. He publishes his compositions and arrangements, and has released 3 music education apps as co-founder of Music Loft Apps. He is adjunct professor at Pacific Union College and teaches 15 cello students privately. www.CelloLoft.com
