Summer Arts Camp: Saturday Morning Potter’s Wheel with Candace Birchfield (Session 1)

Saturday Morning Potter’s Wheel

Dates: Saturday, July 15
Time: 9:30am – 12:30pm
Ages: 15 to adult
Tuition: $65 general, $58.50 PAC members
Materials Fee: $15 payable to the instructor, covers clay and one kiln firing
Registration Deadline: Monday, July 10, 11:59pm
Learn (or relearn) the basics of throwing on the wheel. If you’re new at throwing Candace will guide you through each step to create bowls and vases.
If you are “stuck" in your throwing skills Candace will show you how to get beyond. Either way come and have some fun! We have the tools, you bring a towel and your sense of humor!
About the Instructor:
Candace Birchfield’s ceramics path has taken her from learning bare basics on her own to studying in groups and privately with a teacher. “I love creating artwork by myself, without distractions. However, teaching others about the wonders of working with clay is a very rewarding and satisfying experience for me; I need both worlds. Creating my own works and sharing my experience and enthusiasm with others is a wonderful combination that keeps my work fresh and ever evolving.” Candace has over 25 years of teaching ceramics and creating her own artwork for sale in shops and galleries.
This workshop repeats, with all information and times the same, June 10 and August 5.

Please note: Occasionally, PAC will need to cancel a class. If this happens, PAC will notify students at least one day in advance and give a full refund or credit to another Summer Arts Camp 2017 class.

7/15/2017 from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM PST
