Kids have lots of fun while throwing bowls, slumping dishes, pinching creatures or making tiles in this self-paced and satisfying class. Using stamps to make texture children will be able to make colorful food safe dishes using the potter’s wheel or a roller. They will create sculpture, a name plaque or a tile using a few tools and their imagination. All pieces will be fired for permanence. All skill levels welcome.
About the Instructor:
Candace Birchfield’s ceramics path has taken her from learning bare basics on her own to studying in groups and privately with a teacher. “I love creating artwork by myself, without distractions. However, teaching others about the wonders of working with clay is a very rewarding and satisfying experience for me; I need both worlds. Creating my own works and sharing my experience and enthusiasm with others is a wonderful combination that keeps my work fresh and ever evolving.” Candace has over 25 years of teaching ceramics and creating her own artwork for sale in shops and galleries.

Please note: Occasionally, PAC will need to cancel a class. If this happens, PAC will notify students at least one day in advance and give a full refund or credit to another Summer Arts Camp 2017 class.

Every day from 9:30 AM to 12:00 PM Until 7/13/2017 PST
