Whole Lotta Funk

Opens: TBD  |  Closes: TBD

On Saturday April 26th, three Petaluma institutions – Petaluma Arts Center (PAC), John Crowley/Aqus Community (Good Egg 2014) and Val Richman aka DJVal – present a fundraiser dance party, a celebration of National Dance Week, a stop on an Aqus Community Pub Crawl, and an opportunity to view PAC’s  third annual youth art exhibit, “Art Shapes the World”. Dance and groove with DJ Val’s great sounds of funk, hip hop, soul and more, surrounded by fantastic artwork of Petaluma’s youth! Rumors of a dance cage are swirling. “Whole Lotta Funk Dance Party with DJVal” is a fundraiser for PAC. Tickets are $10 in advance and $15 at the door with a no-host bar and a 50-50 cash raffle. FunkyDdancePoster_samples2_Page_1DJVal is known for her crowd-pleasing, dance-floor-filling musical mixes and, as former Executive Director of Mentor Me Petaluma, is pleased to participate in showcasing art by Petaluma’s youth. “Artistic expression is so important for everyone, and particularly for young people. We are very fortunate to have the Petaluma Arts Center as part of our community!” says Richman.   Local wunderkind brewery HenHouse Brewing Company will be pouring their delicious and unusual potions along with Lagunitas’ world famous IPA. Wine and soft drinks will complete the no-host bar. The earlier stops on The Crawl are Aqus Café, Mario & John’s and Traxx Bar & Grill – attendees can choose to visit one, two or all three between 6:30-8:00pm.   Advance tickets for the PAC fundraiser may be purchased at the Petaluma Arts Center, 230 Lakeville Street, Petaluma, 94952 or online
