2014 Exhibition Schedule for Full Schedule

Proposal Guidelines The Arts Center schedules 4 to 6 exhibitions per year and serves as an educational resource for children and adults, offering hands-on art classes that relate to current exhibitions as well as lectures, docent tours and special events. Proposals for Exhibitions will be reviewed by the exhibition committee on a regular basis.

Form & Finish: The Sculpture of Michael Cooper & John de Marchi

Two sculptors shared a love for tools, quality finishes, superbly designed and crafted objects, as well as teaching what they loved. Cooper and de Marchi are both internationally acclaimed artists who have maintained studios in Sonoma County, California for many decades. Curated by Satri Pencak.

3rd  Annual Youth Art  Exhibit

A juried exhibit by Petaluma K-12 students. The exhibit will engage 100 students, with  teachers, parents and arts professionals in a collaborative effort . The exhibit will be curated, installed and publicized in a professional manner. Supporting programs include portfolio critiques, framing and presenting artwork, and a panel on art careers will be held for High School Students. Curated by Kate Blakeslee

FonFoto: A Mobile Phone Photo Exhibit

Smart phones are today’s newest medium in art. Combined with software applications, they have transformed contemporary art forms in an important way — they are accessible to all. This exhibition hopes to capture the amazing images of amateurs and professionals who snap, click and shoot with a mobile device. Curated by PAC Exhibition Committee

The art of making collage can be traced back hundreds of years. Since the 20th century the technique has become a major art form, spurred by computers and new technology. (n)Collage will celebrate cutting edge techniques in collage, with references to the past. The invitational and juried exhibit will focus Bay Area artists, and spotlight Inez Storer, a well-known collage artist in Point Reyes. Curated by Joseph McDonald, Digital Grange

El Dia de los Muertos Petaluma 2014 – 14th Anual

The art exhibition at the Arts Center anchors a month-long, City-wide celebration of Latino culture and the arts.. Activities include placing 80+ altars in shops, poetry reading, a Procession with giant puppets, cultural song and dance and family art-making workshops.
