Celebrating Family: Black History Month 2021

In honor of national Black History Month, Petaluma Blacks for Community Development (PBCD) and Paige Green Photography have co-created the exhibition Celebrating Family. The show features over 70 black and white portraits of diverse Petaluma families, who each share what “family” means to them. Over 46 storefronts in downtown Petaluma are displaying the portraits from January 29th to March 15th, 2021.

To view the portraits attendees can pick up a walking map, as well as scavenger hunt card, at Petaluma Arts Center or Copperfield’s Books.

In collaboration with the exhibition Petaluma Arts Center is displaying portraits from the Celebrating Family series, as well as historical information about Black History Month and local Petaluma family narratives. The Celebrating Family exhibit is on display at Petaluma Arts Center from January 29th to April 15th, 2021.
